What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to get connected deeper with my roots in Korea as a native Korean who lives outside of Korea and wanted to educate and showcase Korean creativity and culture.
What are some of your key goals that you worked with Xcelerate on this year?
Marketing and starting a business.
How has your identity as a woman and any and all other intersectional identities impacted your business?
It was physically difficult as a small, Asian, middle aged woman but it was empowering at the same time.
What were some of the challenges you faced this year and how did working with Xcelerate help you to overcome these challenges?
It was nice to get connected with advisors and coaches in the areas of legal, marketing, bookkeeping. It was really amazing to get connected with the peer mentorship group program.
Are there any wins or achievements you have celebrated this year while working with Xcelerate?
Opening a new location, learning a lot about online marketing, finding a peer group of awesome female business owners.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your Xcelerate experience?
I just find it so helpful to know that there is a group of experts I can rely on whenever I have questions about anything related to starting a business and when feeling lost and down as well. It is so powerful to know that someone understands my problems of opening up a business and I can ask for help. So so so helpful! Women lifting up women feel amazing! Thank you, Xcelerate.
